One thing I’ve had trouble getting over when shopping for carbs in the Texas is the poor, poor selection of dried pastas. Not only is the variety lacking – penne should not have been hard to find! – but there are products like this on the shelf:
| Whhaaaaaat?! |
Dried gnocchi! I’ve never seen such a thing.
How can this possibly hold a candle to the freshly made, luscious potato pasta I’ve come to love and adore? Impossible, there’s no way. But is it wrong that I’m curious?
I’ll let you know if I ever take the plunge but right now, it just doesn’t feel right.
