Tis the Season?

Although I have serious love for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, mostly because I love the food consumed at each event, Easter is my favorite candy holiday.  And unlike Halloween, Easter has it's own line up of good old holiday treats. 

I won't pretend that the over sized Reese's PB Cups aren't appreciated throughout the year - I love it when they're shaped like a pumpkin, a tree, or an egg - but this is the real sugary egg-shaped icing on my cake:



Hello little ones

They're here!!  I've never seen Cadbury Eggs this early in the year.  I saw them last week but I refuse to consume one this soon.  Once I do, bad things happen.  They are so gross, but so delicious.  That weird goopy center made to look like the inside of a real egg is genius! 

I try not to consume these in front of other humans, I have to make the sweet sweet moments count.  I only allow myself a limited number of them per year so I savor each one in a way that deserves it's own dysfunctional reality show on TLC.

I'm keeping my eyes open for my other seasonal favorites to come to the 2012 party so let me know if you spot Peeps or Cadbury chocolate eggs when you're out and about.  The green colored Peeps allude even the most passionate Easter candy lover, so if you come across these rare birds in the wild, I suggest you pick up a set and pop them in the microwave to see them grow.
